California School Library Conference

No money, no problem. This presentation will introduce participants to D.I.Y. projects and repurposed items to beautify and promote your library.


A variety of materials including discarded metal filing cabinets, shelving end plates, walls, table tops and thrifty finds can be repurposed to create a variety of multiuse instructional zones and items. Harness the power of Dry Erase and Chalk Board Paint. Furniture layout also serves as a means of creating a warm, welcoming and efficient environment. Leave with a number of ideas that can make a difference tomorrow. Beautify and market your Library with minimum input yet maximum impact.
