"Cheap Chic" debuts in
San Diego!
San Diego served as the host city for the
CSLA (California
School Library Association) annual conference.
“Journey to Expertise” delivered ideas to teach and inspire.
Henry Winkler, “The Fonz”, was the closing guest speaker and emphasized the importance of literacy and learning for all. Through a series of books to entertain and educate the young
reader, Mr. Winkler has written about the struggles of a special child who wants to
learn but cannot. Mr. Winkler,who
also struggled with school and learning, and his coauthor, Lin Oliver, bring authentic feelings of pain and hope to the text through the main character named Hank.
The Title of the Series is called “The Hank Books”.
